 
Cellu Tissue Holdings, Inc.'s Coastal Paper Company is located in Wiggins, Mississippi, on a 37-acre site approximately 30 miles north of Gulfport, Mississippi. Dunn Paper  Company, a subsidiary of Dennison Manufacturing Company, founded the mill in 1974 and later sold it to James River Corporation in 1987. James River used the plant to produce one-time carbonizing specialty paper. In 1991, James River divested a portion of its equity by entering into a joint venture with Van Paper Company.
In 1994, Van Paper Company purchased the remaining interest from James River. Ardshiel, through Cellu Tissue Holdings, acquired the plant from Van Paper Company in May, 1995. Over the last five years, Coastal has successfully diversified its grade mix and strategically redirected its material focus. Today, Coastal Paper is recognized as a leading producer of lightweight, value-added, bleached MG converting papers.
